Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

GrowLocal Capital is committed to making this site usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project.

What we've done

• Built pages with semantic HTML (headings, lists, landmarks, and native form elements) rather than generic elements dressed up to look interactive.
• Supported keyboard navigation throughout the site, including forms and disclosure/detail elements.
• Provided visible focus states on interactive elements so keyboard users can see where they are.
• Included a "skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
• Labeled form fields explicitly and surfaced validation errors in text, not color alone.
• Added automated accessibility testing (axe-core) to our test suite, covering one representative page of every distinct template, including the assessment, its validation-error state, the results page, referral authorization, the policy pages, and the administrative area. The suite fails the build on any critical or serious violation.
• Measured color contrast against WCAG AA thresholds and corrected the palette where it fell short. Muted text and one accent tone previously did not meet the 4.5:1 ratio required for normal text; those values were changed.

Known limitations

This is an early MVP, and our accessibility work is ongoing. The limitations we are aware of today:

• No manual screen-reader pass has been completed. Automated tools reliably catch only a portion of real accessibility barriers. Testing with an actual screen reader remains outstanding, and we do not treat our automated results as a substitute for it.
• Automated checks cover one representative page per template rather than every individual page, so a page-specific issue on an unsampled page could go undetected.
• Third-party embeds or components added in future may not yet be audited.
• Focus-order review across longer, more complex flows is still in progress.

We do not consider this statement a claim of full conformance. It is a transparent account of where things stand today.
